For a complete line concept as well as time and cost optimised network for all operation points at line specific communication interfaces of electronical interlocking ZSB 2000 are used.
Basically there are two communication interfaces available:
These are intelligent interfaces (bus) and they communicate via telegram which include a very deep information variety, although cabling effort between operation interfaces are realised at a minimum.
In addition to the operation points represented by stations, block posts, passing point junctions and block adaption, level crossings (BUES 2000) can also be linked to the interfaces. In this way the through going cabling of a track with the aid of rail flange cabling makes sense for the first time and opens up a correspondingly large potential for savings in investment costs.
Whereas with the STRENET bus (track network bus) all the operation points along the track and the adjacent stations can communicate with one another in a technically safe manner with the aid of a logical point-to-point connection and a coding algorithm, the safe exchanging of information with the operating centre or, as the case may be, maintenance centre is realised with the DISPO bus (dispatching bus) with the aid of procedure safeguarding. In addition to the DISPO interface the data of other systems, which data has to be transmitted along a railway line, can be transmitted at the same time. This leads to bundling of communication paths and is accordingly cost-efficient. Such data can be, for example, data for passenger information systems, for switch heating systems or for platform lighting control systems.
