Not only are our products developed and produced from the point of view of sustainability, you yourself also make a contribution to increasing sustainability in your direct environment. Our parking guidance systems reduce the number of cars looking for a space and therefore significantly reduce fuel consumption, while our fare collection systems make sure that people can conveniently and easily use public transport. Our signalling systems and the signal box technology are basic prerequisites for energy efficient rail transport.

Sustainability management
In the interest of the Scheidt & Bachmann group of companies and in view of our sense of responsibility for social, economic and ecological sustainability (Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR), we therefore establish a comprehensive sustainability management.
We see our corporate focus in the development of innovative products that promote global mobility through distinctive safety, reliability and durability. To this end, our Signalling Systems, Parking Solutions, Fare Collection Systems and Energy Retail Solutions business units continuously promote the development of new solutions in their respective industries.
Sustainable Development Goals
As a group of companies, we are committed to continuously improving our sustainability performance. The 17 international Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide global guidance for change towards a better world. We want to be guided by these and reliably contribute to achieving these goals by 2030. We also promote sustainable action by all employees through training, information and the individual role model function of our managers.
Award-winning sustainability
In order to continuously improve we have our environmental, social and governance sustainability performance assessed by EcoVadis. EcoVadis is the world's leading provider of sustainability ratings. Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH at the Mönchengladbach location and our subsidiary in Slovakia, Scheidt & Bachmann Slovenso s.r.o., were awarded the bronze medal by EcoVadis. Scheidt & Bachmann Signalling Systems GmbH at the Mönchengladbach location and Scheidt & Bachmann System Technik GmbH received the silver medal for the Signalling Systems division.
