The Ibiza bus station has reopened its doors after a refurbishment and has been used to renew the parking control and management system, relying on Scheidt & Bachmann equipment, which incorporates the latest technological innovations, such as automatic opening by number plate reading for subscribers and customers with a paid ticket, as well as a wide variety of discount options. The system installed includes two entrances, two exits, four number plate reading cameras, two automatic cash dispensers for mixed payment and one for card payment.
The CETIS is an intermodal building whose mission is to contribute to the development of Ibiza in the area of public and private transport by managing the service activities commissioned by the city council. It is a complex of 18,000 m2 structured in 7 blocks/towers in the centre of Ibiza town, next to the Masía Sa Colomina. It consists of five floors plus two underground floors. The first two are for commercial establishments and the remaining three are for office space. The Ibiza bus station is semi-buried and connects most of the island's intercity lines. It has 12 interior platforms and 5 on the surface.
Sergio González, Managing Director of Scheidt & Bachmann Ibérica, commented on this new project: "The commissioning of the parking system at the Ibiza Bus Station is a very representative project for Scheidt & Bachmann, located in a privileged tourist enclave, and confirms our progressive growth in the Balearic Islands".
Inspired by our slogan, Passion for Parking, we are looking forward to many more installations in 2023!
