Successful introduction of the first SIQMA Smoove self-checkout kiosk in the German Esso fuel station network

With the introduction of the first SIQMA Smoove self-checkout kiosk in the German fuel station market, Scheidt & Bachmann is setting new standards in terms of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

On October 16, 2023, the first SIQMA Smoove Kiosk went into operation at the Esso Station at Frankfurt Airport. At this particularly busy fuel station, SIQMA Smoove is intended to optimize the process in the checkout area and be available to customers as an additional payment option in the shop. 

SIQMA Smoove enables customers to not only scan and pay for refuelling transactions but also for products from the shop with ease. Even items that require an age check by the cashier can be easily purchased via the SIQMA Smoove.

Equipped with all payment options known from conventional fuel station cash registers, SIQMA Smoove integrates seamlessly into the existing infrastructure. Customer-specific adjustments to the user interface as well as changeable promotions enable gas station operators to showcase their brand and optimize the shopping experience for their customers.

In addition, SIQMA Smoove also meets different language needs by enabling country-specific language adaptations. This ensures that customers can easily use the self-checkout kiosk regardless of their native language. SIQMA Smoove was also developed based on the latest POS 2.0 technology and is therefore ready for future innovations.
