Scheidt & Bachmann integrates PACE Connected Fueling

|   Energy-Retail-Solutions

Scheidt & Bachmann Energy Retail Solutions is pleased to announce the integration of the open Connected Fueling platform by PACE as an innovative addition to its SIQMA mobile payment portfolio.

Through SIQMA Connect, fuel retailers can offer their customers a seamless and convenient mobile payment method at their service stations. The PACE Drive App supports a variety of payment options, including conventional debit and credit cards, as well as PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and fleet cards. This integration further allows in-car payments directly from the dashboard via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Modern mobile payment solutions provide significant benefits for both service station operators and customers. By enabling payments directly at the pump, customers can bypass waiting at the checkout, streamlining the payment process and alleviating queues during peak times. This efficiency not only improves customer satisfaction but also allows service station staff to focus on more critical tasks, such as customer engagement, maintenance, and inventory management, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency.

A further advantage of mobile solutions is the digital storage of receipts, which mitigates costs, promotes environmental sustainability, and offers customers easy access to their transaction records without the need for physical copies.

The comprehensive integration of PACE into the SIQMA POS system facilitates transparent data analysis of mobile payments, providing invaluable insights into customer preferences and habits. Such data-driven understanding empowers retailers to better serve their customers and optimize service offerings.

Beyond fuelling transactions, digital solutions open the door to additional applications, such as car wash payments, thereby expanding the utility of mobile payment options at service stations.

"We are proud to partner with PACE and EG Group to deliver this innovative mobile payment solution. Currently available at Esso fuel stations across Germany, this integration is set to significantly elevate the customer experience," said Jörg M. Heilingbrunner, CEO at Scheidt & Bachmann Energy Retail Solutions GmbH. "By leveraging mobile payment apps, service station operators not only enhance customer convenience but also empower their staff to dedicate time to tasks that deliver tangible value to the business. This transformative shift in operational focus is a testament to Scheidt & Bachmann Energy Retail Solutions' unwavering commitment to driving the future of individual mobility through innovation and customer-centric solutions."
