The multi-story car park was built on the former student union site. There are a total of nine parking levels with space for 1,349 cars. The first measures for the construction of the parking garage began in mid-March 2020.

Our first installation at the UKA was in 2012. One year later there was an expansion. We will install an additional new system in 2022. The car park has an entry and exit spindle, which is used for the rapid distribution of traffic on the individual levels. An additional access leads the visitor to the hospital building. While planning, the representatives of the university clinic and ukafacilities GmbH also considered sustainability and noise protection. 16 charging points for e-mobility are planned at the moment.

Scheidt & Bachmann has the experience and knowledge to design and deliver key, bespoke and measurable parking solutions for challenging and demanding environments. The UKA’s operator APAG introduced its own ticket- and cashless parking solution “Nupsi” over 10 years ago and now wants to fully use the license plate as the parking medium for the UKA. To make the change less drastic a hybrid solution was chosen: “Nupsi 2.0” and LPR.
