In addition to equipping all lanes with License Plate Recognition (LPR) and the latest devices from our proven hardware portfolio, numerous digital solutions will improve the customer’s parking and airport experience. Automatic pay stations will be installed to pay the parking fee, accepting cash and cashless payments. Those who do not wish to queue at a machine will also be able to pay online via entervo smart web pay. It will still be possible to reserve a parking space in advance.
The equipment will be installed in two phases: In addition to modernizing the existing parking facilities, in a second phase the solutions from Scheidt & Bachmann Parking Solutions will support the airport in its ambitious transformation to become a smart airport. The Terminal Modernization Program (TMP) aims to reshape the future of the region and give Pittsburgh a special first impression when arriving by plane. In addition to a new, modern infrastructure, the focus is on making passenger traffic as pleasant and efficient as possible. It should therefore offer real opportunities for the region. The digital and e-commerce solutions of the entervo product suite, such as smart go, smart contract, and smart validation, and the integration with existing and future airport systems, will improve the user experience.
Scheidt & Bachmann Parking Solutions is proud to be part of Pittsburgh International Airport's transformation and support the ambitious plans. “Scheidt & Bachmann is extremely honored to have been chosen for this project by the team at Pittsburgh International Airport,” said Bill Geraghty, Managing Director for Scheidt & Bachmann USA. “As the global and domestic leader in the deployment of PARCS systems for airports large and small, this opportunity further strengthens our experience in the space and demonstrates our company’s ability to deliver industry-leading solutions for our customers.”
